What does this mean for safety and industry?
ATHEX Technology has successfully completed a key series of experimental trials of our modular ExBox system. The results confirm that the device meets the high demands for safety and resilience required for deployment in both industrial and defense applications.
Explosion Pressure Test
In testing, ExBox was exposed to a pressure of 21.5 bar, simulating real-world conditions in explosion-risk environments. The unit withstood the test without any compromise to its functional integrity.
Overpressure Test
An additional overpressure test was performed at 1.5 times the explosion pressure. ExBox again proved successful – the structure endured the extreme load and demonstrated its robustness and safety margin.
Why does this matter?
Industry – energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors require reliable enclosures for technologies operating in explosion-risk environments.
Defense – protection of electronics, sensors, and communication systems in demanding field conditions.
Flexibility – the modular ExBox design allows interconnection of multiple units according to specific needs, while maintaining low weight and easy handling.
ExBox – the next generation of safety enclosures
Unlike traditional explosion-proof solutions, which are also very heavy, the ExBox system is up to 75% lighter. At the same time, it retains high structural strength thanks to aluminum die casting and an optimized design. This results in lower installation costs, easier handling, and a smaller ecological footprint.
At ATHEX Technology, we believe that safety, lightness, and modularity are the key values for the future of industrial and defense systems. The ongoing ExBox testing marks an important step toward certification and broader adoption in both the Czech and international markets.
