Generi Successfully Completed Bullet-Resistant Glass Test for Athex Products

At Generi in Šumperk, we recently completed a successful functional test of special bullet-resistant Borofloat tempered glass, which we will use for our Athex products with solid closures.

This breakthrough test involved evaluating the resistance of 11 mm thick Borofloat glass to an impact force of 7 joules. The material demonstrated its ability to withstand an impact from a 1 kg pointed weight dropped from a height of 70 cm without any breakage or damage, thus passing the test. This test confirms the material’s resistance to sudden mechanical shocks and its ability to withstand external explosion pressures occurring in enclosures.

This test marks the beginning of our collaboration with Generi, a company with over 30 years of experience in explosive environments and solid closure technologies.
