On Infrastructure Resilience

In recent years, there has been a lot of talk about digitalization, cybersecurity, and AI. Less attention, however, is paid to what actually holds these systems together — the physical infrastructure that must keep working even when conditions are far from ideal.


In industry, energy, logistics, or security applications, cyberattacks aren't the only major risk. Vibration, temperature extremes, electromagnetic interference, pressure, dust, moisture, or explosive environments are just as critical. If the physical foundation fails, the entire system fails — no matter how sophisticated the software running on top of it is.


This is exactly where the civilian and defense worlds meet today. The dual-use concept no longer means "military vs. civilian," but rather the ability of technology to hold up in any scenario — in everyday operation as well as in crisis situations.
