MobiSHIELD

MobiSHIELD offers state-of-the-art protection for critical infrastructure such as power plants, government facilities, military outposts, and temporary operational zones. It is the result of years of research by the Faculty of Chemistry at Brno University of Technology (FCH VUT), developed in technological partnership with ATHEX Technology s.r.o., creators of the modular construction system MOBILOT.

✅From Scientific Research to Real-World Deployment
At its core are Ballistic Protective Panels (BOP) made from a high-performance cement-based composite known as Reactive Powder Concrete (RPC). This material offers:
- Resistance to armor-piercing rounds up to 12.7 mm caliber (NATO A3 and A4 certified),
- Only 7.5 cm thick, replacing over 15 cm of standard concrete,
- Low weight – 34 kg per panel, allowing manual handling without lifting machinery,
Compact size: 450 × 450 × 75 mm,
- Homogeneous structure and reliable ballistic test results.

✅A Modular System for Maximum Flexibility
MobiSHIELD is more than just a panel – it’s a fully modular system utilizing polymer or aluminum quick-connectors developed within the MOBILOT system, enabling:
- Rapid assembly and disassembly without heavy equipment,
- Custom-built configurations – from guard points, medical stations, command posts, to field warehouses and shelters,
- Integration of special infrastructure: medical gas supply, 230V electric wiring, patient monitoring systems.

✅High Resistance with Effortless Handling
Panels are anchored at the center and corners, with minimal visible gaps between them. The system is easy to scale and reconfigure, supporting a wide range of security or medical use cases – even repeated deployment.

✅Tested and Ready for Field Use
A prototype corner wall with 18 panels was unveiled at the VUT exhibition booth during IDET 2025.
The system delivers:
- Top-tier ballistic protection,
- Quick field deployment,
- Low production cost,
- Locally available raw materials,
- Commercial potential through licensing or spin-off production.

✅Ready to transition from lab to field
For limited quantities, panel production is already possible in laboratory settings. For broader deployment, partnerships with independent concrete manufacturers are being established. The system has already drawn attention from the Czech Army for potential defense applications.
